Relic #9 & 10 – The two fallen angels.

“The fallen angels symbolized what would happen if something went wrong with the crossover. The emperor would get rejected and sent back. His wings would get black, his clothes would tear up, and he would always look like a mess. He would also get a cloned twin, who would be his nemesis. “

Yoseob looked like a mess. It was partially his fault, but mostly DooJoons. He literally felt used, but not in a bad way though. After they had dinner, DooJoon brought the desserts back to the hotel, and firstly used Yoseobs mouth and lips to eat the cool ice cream. It was a weird and messy experience, but he couldn’t say that he didn’t like it. DooJoon made him feel loved, in a way he had never experienced. The feeling of being wanted really made him more confident, and he felt more at ease when they talked about love.

They were lying in bed, cuddling and talking about everything from the meaning of life to what they wanted for dinner the next day. The empty cake boxes and ice cream cans was scattered all over the floor, and the nightstand was full of tissue paper. “Aaaah, DooJoonie, let go of me for a bit, we should clean up everything now.” DooJoon tightened his grip around Yoseob and kissed his neck. “I don’t care about cleaning Seobbie, just shut up and cuddle with me okay? We can do it tomorrow.” Yoseob just sighed, and knew that he couldn’t win this time no matter how much he wanted to.

A/N Im sorry that i havent updated in a while, i just had to find a way to sew relic 6, 7 & 8 together.

Relic #6, 7 & 8 - The three wise men.

"The three wise men were crucifixes, showing that the emperor was as holy as Jesus himself, and that he had a high status in society. No one would matter as much as he did, and no one was worth more. The story of the tree wise men dates all the way back to Jesus' birth."

To Yoseob, DooJoon, DooHyun and HyunJae were three wise men, even though HyunJae was a female. They made him feel special in every way. He hadn't seen HyunJae since they were in Egypt, but she sent him a letter every now and then, making sure that he was okay. The other boys didn't know about this, and Yoseob could imagine how jealous DooJoon would be if he knew. "I better keep it to myself until its the right time. But she doesn't even mean something to me in that way..."

"Ya, Yoseob! What are you mumbling about?" Yoseob was startled from the sudden sound, and dropped his fork. Yoseob and DooJoon got a break from digging and went out for dinner at a quaint restaurant somewhere within the old streets of the town. "It's nothing DooJoonie, i just spaced out for a moment." He showed the boy a reassuring smile and continued to eat his food.

They had almost eaten up their food when DooJoon decided that they should order desserts too. He called the waiter and asked for the sweetest cakes they had, and some ice cream to go. "DooJoonie, why did you order it as take-away?" "Because i thought that it would be nice if we went for a walk, and then had the dessert in our hotel room." He grinned a little, ate up his food and went to get the order. Yoseob just had a confused look on his face, but went after him.

"DooDoo, You do know that we don't have any plates or anything in our room?" "Yeah, but why do i need plates when i have you?"

 Relic #5 – The saint.

”In earlier times, the saint played a big role. It protected both the living and the dead from danger an evil spirits and energies. If the emperors were buried without the saint, their souls would most likely be stolen and captivated by the devil. Once, a soul from a great emperor was caught, and it caused the biggest curse and tragedy the whole nation had ever experienced, pulling the life out of everyone that ascended from him.”

Yoseob came to a conclusion that DooJoon really was a saint. His presence removed all the dark thoughts he had, and brought sunshine into his life. He had no family, or any relatives he knew of, so he was literally all alone, until the day he met him. That day when he arrived in Egypt after DooHyun sent for him, was the happiest day in his life. When he saw DooJoon, it was love at first sight. He was blinded by the man, and really hoped that there were at least some mutual feelings. And he quickly got the confirmation after realizing that DooJoon never let go of his hand that first night, even though Yoseob clenched it so hard on purpose. He could never forget the look on his face when he realized that they were holding hands. It was a good mixture of surprise, happiness and curiosity.

--

“DooJoonie, you know I love you, right?” “Yeah, I do, and I love you too. But why do you mention it so out of the blue?” Yoseob just looked down and kicked the ground nervously. “Well, you know that I don’t have much money… and I need a place to live… and…” His sentence got cut off by DooJoon who leaned closer and planted a sweet kiss on his lips.

“Say no more, when we get back to Korea, you’re living with me.”

Relic #4 - The Dwarf.

"While the Shaman only opens the door to the underworld, and the frog connects the worlds, the dwarf is the one actually summons the entrance. He decides when and where you are allowed to pass through the door. If the emperors were buried without the dwarf by their side, the crossover would not be possible, just like it is without the Shaman or the Frog"

Yoseob is DooJoons dwarf. He is the one who summons the love and happiness. He makes it possible for him to be a complete and loving human being.
Whenever DooJoon is feeling down, or angry, Yoseob would be there, summoning the happiness hidden inside of him. DooJoon honestly doesn't know how he was able to live a happy live before he met him. He thinks about him all the time, he loves the back-hugs and he loves the way he smiles with his whole face. Whenever DooJoon looks at him, he sees pure, magnificent happiness.

--

DooJoon was sitting alone, staring at the sky. "DooJoonie, what's wrong?" Yoseob sits down next to him and looks at him with a sad and curious expression on his face. DooJoon just pulls him close and kisses his cheek lightly. "Absolutely nothing is wrong, not when you are around. It would be impossible for anything to be wrong, honestly.”

And with that, Yoseob smiles, and DooJoon yet again feels like the worlds luckiest man. And then he started to wonder what he did to deserve such a good thing.

Relic #3 - The frog.

"The emperor’s would be buried with a frog figurine between themselves and the Shaman. While the Shaman only opened the door to the underworld, the frog ties the worlds together, making sure that it is always a way in or out. "

Yoon DooHyun was the frog. He was the one who made it possible for DooJoon and Yoseob to be together. If he hadn't pushed DooJoon into being an archeologist, they would probably never have met, and DooJoon would have been a lonely and cynical man. DooHyun was more like a father than an uncle to DooJoon. He had raised him since he was 3, and was very pleased with the way he had become. He was also grateful for Yoseob. If it hadn't been for the cute little boy, he wouldn't have felt so accomplished.

He could finally let DooJoon control his own life now that it had a safe, controlled and steady pace. There was no need for a frog anymore, since the two worlds were properly connected.

--

DooHyun chuckled to himself while the boys had a minor and silly argument over whether or not that Yoseob was cute. DooJoon would get too excited and yell, Yoseob would slap him lightly, and then they would wrestle a bit on the floor. After a couple minutes, it got quiet. Nothing was heard but a low whining sound followed by a weak "stop iiiiiit! ~"

DooJoon obviously won in his own mischievous way.

A/N This is only 250 words, so it is kind of short, but it's difficult to make it long when i have to make 12 mini chapters in total kekeke. I hope you liked it ~

Relic #2 ~ the Shaman

”The Shamans job was to open the door to the underworld. Without it the person who died wouldn’t be able to cross over. The emperors were buried with a Shaman figurine made out of terracotta by their side to ensure that the crossover was finished without any problems. If the figurine was damaged, the souls would roam the earth without rest for an eternity.”

DooJoon was Yoseobs Shaman. He was the one keeping him sane, safe and sound. Whenever something happened, DooJoon was there, holding around him, whispering sweet words to calm him down, and planting butterfly kisses down his neck or on his cheek. Yoseob loved the occasional attention, and wouldn’t change it for anything.

DooJoon was usually an independent person, and wouldn’t care for anyone but himself, but the day he met Yoseob, back in Egypt changed everything. The thick layer of ice around his heart was almost completely gone, and he felt more alive than ever. More alive than a Shaman should, but he couldn’t care less about that. He was truly happy with his life, his career and the boy he was so close to love completely. He would love to guide him through his life, and he would love to grow old with him. He would love to do anything to make him happy.

And when he gave it a second thought, he was pretty sure that he loved him after all.

A/N So this is the first part of the mini chapters! What do you think? Should i do the remaining 11?

Summary; DooJoon is a world known archeologist, and Yoseob is his cute little assistant. This time they are going to Bulgaria to unveil the Vulchi Trun gold treasure.
--

DooJoon was located on top of Yoseob, their legs intertwined, and his lips were whispering sweet nothings into the younger boys’ ears. He moved his hands down the side of his body and caressed his hips. “…DooJoon-ah, not here, not now, I don’t want my first time to happen in front of the man who hired you to work.” DooJoon just laughed and pinched his cheeks lightly. “I never intended to do something like that you know, I just wanted to cuddle. But if you want to stop, we can do that.” Yoseob blushed, he was embarrassed for thinking that DooJoon would do such a thing, but decided to let it pass. “No, we can stay like this for a while, but I wouldn’t mind lying in your lap instead of on the ground.”

They changed positions, with DooJoon leaning back against the small hill, and Yoseob was lying sideways with his head resting in his lap and arms around DooJoons left thigh. DooJoon patted his head lightly, and started to sing a sweet, gentle tune. Yoseob was startled by the sudden action, but calmed down as soon as he got used to the singing. It sounded like some sort of old lullaby he had heard when he was younger.

“I never knew you had such a nice voice DooJoonie.”

--

In the meantime DooHyun found himself in front of what looked like a convenience store. He went inside, and got the biggest surprise of his life. Even though the store looked really small on the outside, the inside was enormous. The shelves were filled with bottles of water, vegetables and other necessities. He found a basket and stuffed a couple of water bottles inside of it, and found some fruits he thought the boys would like. After a while, he got a bit lost, and couldn’t find any proper meals. He decided to go look for someone who worked there, and sure enough, he found the store manager. “Excuse me Sir; do you have any ready-to-eat meals foreigners would really enjoy? Preferably enough food for three men.” The manager looked around, with a serious expression on his face. “Yeah, I think we still have some preheated chicken and rice left, if that is okay?” DooHyun got happy and nodded, following the manager back to the counter. “Is this okay or do you need more?” “If you have a little bit more, it would be perfect; the boys eat so much nowadays.” The manager wrapped up the food neatly, leaving a little note saying; “enjoy your meal, and don’t hesitate to visit us again.”

The boys were asleep when DooHyun got back from town, but woke up as soon as the smell of food reached them. They all had a wonderful time eating, with DooJoon feeding Yoseob and so on, and they returned to work after resting for a while. DooHyun got the position of commanding them both around, telling them where to dig, and distributing water and snacks whenever they felt like having some. Yoseob was the puppy-like assistant, following DooJoons every step, never leaving his side. This earned him several little kisses and gentle touches, and he had to admit that he enjoyed it. If it was up to him, he would stay with DooJoon forever.

After another couple hours of work, DooHyun yelped when he heard the loud sound of a shovel hitting something hard. “PABO-YAH! Did you break the shovel?!” He ran over to where DooJoon was and suddenly he noticed what the boy had hit. The thing that was lying in front of them was a fairly large relic, probably made of bronze. It had the shape of a goblet, and would most likely be from the house of a rich family. Yoseobs curious eyes could be seen from DooJoons right side, and his eyes were literally sparkling. “Wow, it’s actually kind of beautiful, DooJoonie.” “Not as beautiful as you, but yeah, I bet it’s worth a lot.” Yoseob slapped DooJoons hand lightly and left him to go find Hristo. They needed confirmation and documentation for the findings, and the owner was the only legit witness.

What the boys didn’t know was that this relic was only the beginning of the treasure. The old legends said that; “The almighty ruler would be buried, with treasures thirteen, all protecting him from what is within the ground, evil or not.” The goblet was the first protector. It symbolized one of the human needs, and also a sin; thirst. It could either be thirst after water, or thirst after power, or anything else. The thirst could also mean greediness. By being buried with a goblet, the thirst would always be fulfilled, and you would never have to seek solace by taking things from others.

A/N First off, IM SORRY THAT IT IS SO SHORT T^T
I’m thinking that I should do about 12(?) mini chapters from now on (around 200-500 words), one for each of the remaining relics and its meaning. How do you feel about that? It would include Dooseob moments related to the meaning of the relic and such, it could be a good activity for me while I prepare the last chapters of the story, kekeke.

It was getting close to midnight. DooJoon was lying next to Yoseob, with his head on the lower part of the other boys back. "DooJoonie, i'm getting restless and hungry again." When DooJoon heard that, he lifted up his head and stared at him in disbelief. "You had so many meals on the way here, you should be full enough for a year!" Yoseob just laughed and rolled off the bed. "No, im certain that I am hungry right now. Lets go for a walk!"

So they did. It was a bit chilly outside, but still liveable, and they were walking hand in hand down the main street of the town. "So, what do you feel like eating, Seobbie? And are you sure that any store is open now?" Yoseob turned towards DooJoon to answer, but froze on the spot. "What are you looking at?" DooJoon was utterly confused. Yoseob didn't answer, but lifted up his hand and pointed at something. DooJoon turned around to see what it was, and got surprised by the enormous stand that was located infront of some weird shop. "That... looks... yummy!" Yoseob practically drooled and dragged DooJoon after him. "But do you even know what it is?" Yoseob shook his head and wiped up the saliva coming from his mouth. "No i don't, but it looks sweet, lets buy some!" DooJoon couldn't resist when the other boy pleaded, so he asked for the sweetest thing the vendor had, and gave him the money that was required. The so-called sweets looked like sponge cakes, and was filled with fresh strawberries. At least thats what DooJoon thought, after seeing the small river of red water that was on its way out from the corner of Yoseobs mouth.

"Hey, you got something... Ah, never mind!" DooJoon leaned forward and kissed Yoseob from his chin and up to his mouth, cleaning up any leftovers from the strawberry filling. Yoseob just moaned into the kiss and put his arms around DooJoons neck when he felt that his legs were getting weaker. After what felt like hours, they finally separated, and Yoseobs face had a deep red shade. "Are you sure that people are okay with two guys kissing in public?" DooJoon just smirked and kissed him again. "I don't hear any complaints, so did that answer your question?" Yoseob just nodded and stared at the ground.

"You're really beautiful when you are like this, Seobbie." The other boy blushed even more and fiddled with the rest of his cake. "S-so.. we should probably head back to the hotel now?" DooJoon nodded in reply and held the boys hand tightly all the way back, smiling so wide that he though his jaw was going to crack.

--

The next morning, DooHyun came to wake them up. He opened their door slowly, and moved towards the bed they were sharing, but when he reached it he stopped and spent a couple minutes adoring the young couple. "Oh, i wish i could find love like that..."

DooJoon cringed when he heard the familiar voice and opened his eyes. "Uncle, what are you doing here this early?" "Young man, it is 11 am, what are you talking about?" DooJoons eyes widened. "Are you serious?! Why have we slept for so long?" He stood up and rushed into the shower, completely forgetting about Yoseob, who just groaned and hid under the covers. "Yah, Yang Yoseob, its time to wake up!" DooHyun shook the little boy and earned a faint slap followed by a "Yaaaaa, leave me aloooooone!" DooHyun did not accept this, and pulled the covers off him. Yoseob yelped and finally got out of bed, looking extremely drowsy. "Your boyfriend is in the shower, so unless you want to join him, you should just wash up and get dressed." Yoseob obediently found some clothes and went to the bathroom. In the meantime DooHyun found some bread and juice for the boys. "Kids these days, they can't even keep track of the time. I wonder what they did last night..."

After they both got dressed, they had a lovely breakfast before heading out to the mansion again. When they arrived, Hristo was sitting on the stairs by the front door. His dog, who was lying on his lap, barked, jumped off and ran towards the three guys who invaded his territory. "Don't worry, Ana doesn't bite!" Hristo moved towards them and greeted them happily. "I'm so glad that you could make it back here safely! I hope nothing bad happened to you during the night!" DooJoon shook his head. "No, we actually had a pleasant time. We even went for a midnight walk yesterday, and the town is really nice." "Good to hear! So, are you ready to get some work done?"

Hristo started walking towards one of the bigger areas, gesturing for the guys to follow him. Ana ran around, sniffing here and there and contributed with an occasional bark. When they got to the other end of the plains, Hristo stopped and pointed at a small hill. "I suspect that hill to be some sort of burial site, most likely with an old emperor, or treasures hidden within. The old rulers were very rich, and often accompanied with large amounts of gold when they got buried." DooJoon nodded and told Yoseob to write down whatever the man said. Every little piece of information were important whenever they did something like that, and besides, DooJoon had big expectations to live up to, leaving no room for mistakes. After Hristo was done with explaining everything, he left them with a blueprint of the entire area, marking where he thought the treasures were hidden. DooJoon found a spatula, marking the ground where he was supposed to dig according to the blueprints. After a couple hours, they succeeded in marking the whole area, and they were starting to feel hungry.

"Hey, uncle, did you bring anything to eat?" DooHyun shook his head, and kicked a small rock on the ground. "So, i suppose you could drive back to the town and buy some food for us? Yoseob and I could wait here, making sure that nothing happens to the equipment and such." His uncle agreed and left them in a matter of seconds. DooJoon turned towards Yoseob, admiring the will he had to work. Yoseob was busy with perfectioning his notes, starting over and over, grumbling a bit, and throwing away useless papers. He felt someone was looking at him, raised his head up and met DooJoons gaze. "Why are you looking at me like that?" DooJoon smiled softly and replied with a "I just felt like it." Yoseob blushed and wrote something on a note and handed it to him. DooJoon read the note and went over to Yoseob to hug him tightly. The note fell to the ground, with the words clearly written.

"I really like you."

A/N So i promised a better chapter, and i really really worked hard with this XD So i hope you enjoy all the dooseob moments and stuff, and again, thank you for reading and commenting! <3

--

When Yoseob finally opened his eyes, he realized he was back with holding DooJoons hand, just like he had done when they were in Egypt. He let go of him and tried to get out of bed. But two massive arms reached out for him and pulled him back to bed. He heard DooJoon mumbling, “Just five more minutes, eh?” The five minutes became half an hour, and the half an hour became forty five minutes, and Yoseob became inpatient. “You do know that we have to leave for Bulgaria today right?” DooJoon just groaned in reply and cuddled deeper into the back of Yoseobs neck. “Aish, we’re never going if you continue like this, Doo-Doo.” He felt that DooJoon smiled upon hearing that, and got chills going down his spine. “But seriously, if you don’t get out of bed in two minutes, I’m going to find some water and make sure that you do.”

After several attempts of covering the larger boy in water, Yoseob finally gave up. DooJoon was stronger and faster so it always ended with the other boy lying in a puddle of water on the floor. After they cleaned up the mess, and got ready, it was time to leave. DooJoons uncle had hired a car, so the travel costs would be a bit higher this time. When they got to the car, they had to discuss which route to take. They had the choice to either drive through China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine and Romania to get to their target, or through China, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq and Turkey. They couldn’t make up their mind, so they let DooHyun make the decision, which was the first route. “It seems nicer”

The cars in that time were not very fast, so the travelling took them about a week, with numerous stops along the way. Every time Yoseob saw a place that sold sweet things, he pleads for DooHyun to stop, so he could buy all the foreign food he could find. So after thousands of miles and limitless meals, they finally arrive in Pleven, a cultural town in Danube Lowland in Bulgaria. Yoseob was very excited about the location, and immediately started to explore. He saw tall buildings and other things he would never dream of seeing in Seoul or South Korea in general. The European style of the buildings was phenomenal, and the air was fresher. It seemed like the right place for archeologists to work.

After he was done looking around, they found their hotel, put the luggage in place, and went to look for the digging site. The discovered fast that amazing cities was not the only thing Bulgaria had to offer, because the countryside, was even more magnificent. DooJoon rolled down the windows of the car and reached out for the sun. “Ah, this is what life is all about. It seems like this will be more of a vacation than work” Yoseob just smiled at him and spread his arms too. “Yes, I believe so.”

When they reached the farm, called Vulchi Trun, they gulped. The so-called farm was more like a mansion, with enormous patches of land surrounding it. DooJoon was indeed rich, but he had never seen such a big house. The parked the car in front of the house, and knocked on the door. They heard a dog barking, and a voice saying “Come in!” They opened the door and went inside, hurryingly taking of their shoes, and bowing to the man that stood in the hallway. “So, you are Yoon DooJoon?” He grabbed DooJoons hand and shook it. “Yes sir, I am, I’m honored to meet you.” “Oh, no, the honor is all mine. I heard so much about you and your past work. The stories about you discovering Tut-Ankhs grave are amazing.” DooJoon bowed again in gratefulness. “Now, introduce me to the other people here. I think I might’ve seen the boy before somewhere, but this man, I can’t recognize.”

DooJoon stood beside Yoseob, and put an arm around his shoulder. “This is my partner, Yang Yoseob. And this…” He pointed at DooHyun “This is my beloved uncle Yoon DooHyun.” The man bowed to both of them. “My name is Hristo Blagoev, and I am the owner of this mansion and the areas surrounding it. And I am also the one who suspected the Vulchi Trun gold treasures to be burrowed on my land. So you are free to dig and search wherever you want.” DooJoon bowed again and thanked the man wholeheartedly.

They decided that they should rest for the night, since they probably were very tired after so many days of travelling. They said goodbye to Hristo, and returned to the city, where DooHyun wanted to take them out to dinner. They had to turn it down though, considering the amount of meals Yoseob had on the way here, so the boys went to their room in the hotel instead. Once they got inside, they went straight to the double bed and collapsed on top of it.

“I’m so happy that you wanted to go with me, Yoseob.” DooJoon turned towards the boy and captured his lips with a sweet kiss.

“So am I.”

A/N This chapter was shorter than i expected, and full of information and so on, but i promise that the next chapter will be better. Even though i have to do soooo much research about Bulgaria and what was going on in 1924. But it's worth it. I hope you liked it, and as i said, the next will definitively be better! Thank you so much for reading and commenting <3
